Hard to tell from the pics, but they kinda look like a pin/blade version, also.

Only 4 hour drive from my house!

Only 5 hours from Jessup PA, Bluecomet, if you really want them rent a Uhaul and pick them up!, it'll be a hella lot cheaper if you picked them up

Have to agree there. They weigh IIRC (from my shipping docket), 374lbs...
In terms of audio, i truly feel sorry for the visually impaired. How can they know what they like if they cant read google?

I just map quest it. It is ten and half hours from my house. That's a little too far to drive in January. The 2.3 tl's in Mass. is 5 and half hours away. That may be an option but since I have SDA SRS 2's I don't know if it would be a dramatic improvement to what I already have. Has anyone heard both and what was your impression.

These started out at 4K didn't they? The price has been lowered if they did, they're now at 3200 o.b.o .

    And here is why...
The F/X Polk rear surround speakers have one tweeter in each that is not functioning that I am still looking into having repaired. Frankly the surrounds are not up to snuff with the rest of the speakers and I would invest in better surround speakers. That being said I have lowered the asking price for the system to $3200.

The 2.3tl blow away the srs 2.

The 2.3 have a bigger soundstage and greater dynamic range.
The 2.3 tls have the sl-5000 tweeters and a simplified crossover which sounds better and is easier to drive than the crossover on the srs-2 1st generation (blade/blade).
The srs-2 has the sl-2000 and the pin/blade version (2nd generation) has the simplified crossover.
The 2.3 are the only sda speakers that will give you 85% of the sound that the 1.2 tls make.
This is my findings based on direct comparison. I have all three models and love them equally.

Those don't look like the SRT surrounds I've seen at a friend's and at Polk HQ.
