...why anyone would have a problem with George Grand?

He's a great guy and has a great family, of who I met. I did not get a chance to meet his daughters. There should be more people like George around, maybe the world wouldn't have as many problems as it does.

I did get to see his listening room. He has a set of speakers that are undescribable! They are the closest thing to a live performance I have heard to date.

I also got to see the contents of the "Magic Closet" but I'm sworn to secrecy! If you want to know, you have to see for yourself! I promise, it's worth it though!

He has some really awesome baseball pictures too!

I'm glad I met George!

Seems like he is a great guy, but people like watango or w/e are not - therefore a not so great guy says a great guy is not a great guy in the process that he is really a great guy?
Damn you all, damn you all to hell.......
    I promised myself
No more speakers. None. Nada. And then you posted this!!!!

George is one of those guys, if you meet a handful of that caliber in your lifetime, you are VERY fortunate.

    Forum personnel,

I had the genuine pleasure to host "Fireball" John Stasny Jr. (Jstas) in my home last night. What a good time he provided me. Here's the breakdown the way I see it:

Courteous - Yes. My wife, the former Theresa Talamonti, was impressed, as was I. She likes younger men anyway, at least she did when I met her about 24 yrs ago, when I was only a few years older than John is now.

Intelligent - By all appearances, John possesses SUPERIOR intelligence.

Overall presentation - Appears to practice excellent hygiene. PLUS, 25 years ago if I had his good looks, along with my treacherous persona, I would never have had to buy stock in chloroform, and would definitely have screwed myself into a coma.

PLUS (the sequel) - He is the only other NON-resident of Hawaii I know, that has seen the damn penguin show at Sea Life Park on Oahu. The greatest show on earth (next to Zappa when he was alive).

The kicker here (sorry John, I have to expose you now)......

This young man is 25 YEARS OLD!! He is a force to be reckoned with NOW, imagine 5 or 10 more years of experience.

Thanks for stopping by in person to pick up the Polk speakers John. You're a real good troop, and welcome here anytime.

    Stay out of my closet.

    George

Thank you for your kind words George! I'm flattered!

My girlfriend effectivly burst my bubble with the comment "Who the hell is he talking about and when can I meet him?!"

    Ouch!

    Fireball John,

You earned those words my man. You're welcome.

You and your lady are welcome here anytime. I especially look forward to the spring and summer months, when we can go out back, and I can drink coffee, smoke Luckies, and not be burdened with clothing. It's so cumbersome.

    First time I met George.

I bought a set of Polk Audio prototype speakers that we had gotten "Polk Paul" to ID and give some info on at the HQ Polkfest in 2005 I think it was.

I only paid like $10 bucks for them but honestly, one of the best 10 bucks I ever spent.

I just wish I had known he was sick. I'd been trying to reach him for a few weekends to go visit just to visit but I wasn't hearing from him.

I guess I know why, now.
