Apparently there is some report airing that shows security footage of Pacman having a much greater involvement in the June 2007 night club incident than what he owed up to. In light of that, the Cowboys dropped Pacman and the NFL has put him under formal investigation status. If he wasn't cut it would probably come with a suspension without pay like they did to Irvin way back when for the drug problems.

Talk about a wasted talent.

I'm surprised to see the Cowboys actually cut someone because of problems off the field, that's normally what attracts people to Dallas...

I would say it's a step in the right direction, but knowing Jerry he just cut him because he probably wasn't going to be able to play anyway.

The guy belongs in jail..........just another example of how much pro athletes / celebrities are allowed to get away with. Any of us with similar circumstances would be rotting in jail right now. Not to say Vick didn't deserve his sentence, but what does it say that this guy can be involved in paralyzing another human being and allowed to play and make millions while Vick is in jail for fighting dogs. Both are despicable and both belong in jail.

I saw this before I heard about the investigation so I thought Jerry was just putting out the trash. At times he looked good but for the most part he just sucked. Not what I thought we were getting. Scandrick and Jenkins give us two young corners to add to Newman and Henry so we really don't need his sorry **** anyway.

another one of jerry's kids---just goes to show Dallas has no real talent evaluation --- Pacman wasn't good at all on the field for the cowboys & his actions off the field speak volumes about the kind of person he actually is -- like stated above--- what a waste of talent

    Ummm...yeah, you're wrong.

Pacman, even with all of his trials and tribulations, put up good numbers. Then he was suspended for over a year and not allowed to work out with any team. That will hurt any athlete in any sport being out of the game for a year.

Jones and Goodell both gave Pacman a second change and he screwed it up. Jones is just doing the pre-emptive carpet bombing because with this new report and subsequent new security camera footage, Goodell was likely to axe Pacman anyway. If Goodell was to fire Pacman, Jones would have taken a bigger hit financially. If Jones applies in February for the waiver request and can honor the stipulations of the Pacman trade and contract that Jones set up to protect at least a small part of the Cowboys investment. It makes more sense for Jones to boot Pacman himself before the NFL can suspend and fire him.

But Pacman, as ineffective as he was this year due to his time off which amounted to about 16 months total, was a producer for the Titans when he was allowed to play. He has a natural talent for his position and it has been widely regarded by not only the league but all the media pundits too. This is a tremendous waste of talent of what could have been a marquee defensive back or safety.

That was why Pacman was picked up. He has such a level of potential he couldn't be ignored. Dallas picked up problem players before and got them straightened out enough to play good ball. But that was when Jerry had tough, hard-nosed coaches that didn't take crap like Jimmy Jones and Bill Parcells. Wade Phillips doesn't handle the problem children well and Jones needs to butt out and let his coach run his team.

But Pacman wasn't the problem for the Cowboys, he was a distraction. T.O., as good as he is, is the real problem. When he first got there, he was good, kept his mouth shut and played ball. Now, he cries every week and does everything he can to get the spotlight. He needs to cool it or find another team to destroy. He's a superstar and his numbers show it but he's got another superstar in Williams on the opposite end of the field plus a top level tight end and two effective and productive running backs plus 2 other back up receivers that prove extremely effective before he ever got there. Somebody needs to sit him down and show him tapes of Troy Aikman with 5 different weapons on the field to throw to. Aikman was an average QB that Novacek, Smith, Irvin, Harper, Johnston made look like a superstar. Romo has the same level of depth but he can't throw to any of them except T.O. or he cries. That's not good.
