Lsi7's as center chanel

has anybody tried using a pair of Lsi7's as a center channel?

media room: Lsi25 mains driven by an audiosource amp300, LSi9's driven by another amp300, LsiC drivin by an audiosourcAmp200, Lsi7 rear channels driven by receiver - Yamaha 863, Panamax 5300, epson 6100 w/ 106" elite cinatension2 screen, HPz555 media center, oppo 980, techniques SLbd3 turntable,xbox and ps3,

living room: VM30 mains driven by a niles 2125, VM20 center and VM10 surrounds, velodyne dsp10, yamaha rxv661, cambridge audio dvd89, panamax5300, philips 42" plasma

    Lumpy, why do you want to use a pair? It would be excellent to use an LSi7, standing up vertical (normal position), as a center with LSi7 left and right front speakers, but you only need those three. I'm not sure why you would be contemplating using two LSi7 for the center channel, rather than just one (nor how you would implement that to avoid issues).

    I was thinking that I could split the center chanel out of the receiver and amp them with an audiosource amp 200. I was wondering if they were toed out slightly, if I would get better dialog than my LsiC - espescially to the sides of the room.

    When I was running a LSI HT I was using LSI7's for the center. It does work and sounded better than the LSi C .
