Point of no return...

Need some advice. Purchased my first set of Polk's about 6 weeks ago, SDA 1's. Got em home, one bad tweeter, one bad mid. I figured this was "ok", got them for $200. So I found a used replacement silver faced SL 1000, sounded completely different then the other 3. Wasn't sure why, so I ordered one RDO-194 and a MW6503 to see what I got for sound. Polk CS sent me two RDO-194's by mistake, so being a little antsy I kept them and replaced a tweeter on each speaker. Much different sound than I was receiving from the previous SL1000's. Now I may be at the point of no return...are these speakers worth sticking $48 bucks a driver to have them all replaced? 4 tweeters, one or maybe all four mids? Any advice would be of help.

They generally say if you replace one, replace all for the very reason you listed. But SDA's are a unique speaker, and I would say it is worth the cost of replacing what needs replacing.

That's what I figured. I think I will replace all the tweeters and the mid that is bad and evaluate from there. Thanks.
