Wall mounting RTI-A3's

I'm a bit nervous about wall mounting the RTI-A3 speakers, has anyone mounted them with a good swivel mount so that I can adjust them as needed, without having to worry about them falling off the wall.

These are for my rear surround, and side surround.

Yes, you can mount the RTiA3s to the wall.

    I do.

There are some threads about this too.

Other folks, like myself, have had good results with the B-Tech BT-77:

But, it is advised that because of the elegant curved cabinets of the RTiA3s, that you use some sort of retaining loop or cord or tie in the back to really keep them snug on your mount.

On the recommendations of other Polkies I use zip ties:

Just be sure your wall mount is located on a stud and use a good set of long wood screws.

I have my RTi A3's mounted on the wall using the screws that came with them. My couch is up against the back wall so i have them on the sidewalls facing each other pointing to the couch. Sounds pretty good to me so far. Anyways i know you said your looking for some sort of mount so you can swivel them or what not, but whether you use a mount or not they can definetly be mounted, good luck.

No, no wood screws into the cabinets. I used friction tape on the BT-77 mount clamps and bottom and then used the pinching pressure from the mounts to keep the cabinets from sliding, moving, or wiggling.

But, because the cabinets are curved and I have the mounts tilted down to hit the listening sweet spot - the side pressure by itself is not enough to hold the cabinets secure enough - just not enough surface area to get the right grip.

That's where the older flat sided RTi4 cabinet was 'better' for this application.

By augmenting the mounts with zip ties thru the rear power port and snugged against the mount - I get a very safe and secure setup - they ain't going anywhere now.

As for the Valor....BIG improvement over the PSW303 I had (well, still have - just looking for a nice home). More hit, more extension, can actually hear musical bass notes! :D

    Cheers.
