It's a blind buy for me today. But this thing tanked over at rottentomatoes.

Its alright...not a great movie by any means, but worth a look. Definitely a rent, more than a buy.

    I liked it.

I saw it in the theater, and while it wasn't mind blowing, it was good fun. Lot's of action, however incredible it was. Good plot. Left ya wanting more.

I would buy it. Of course, I'm a big Sci-Fi fan as it is.

Just finished up the Blu disc and, I really liked it. Lots of action, some great visuals, good special effects, cool soundtrack, and some awesome A/V from Blu.

yea it was good action but storyline, its ok, not fond of movies made in russia or story abt russia. have nothing against russians. When they went to NYC it was getting better. I did not like night or day watch at all...

The movie/script originally had potential, but derailed by Fox during production. The script was being re-written daily during shooting against the director's objections. He washed his hands of the finished product prior to release. Diesel was evidently pissed as well. Word prior to release was that it was going to tank and it did.

I rented the BD today...it's an uncut version that's supposed to be better with an additional 10 mins, but it's still not the original script of the directors vision. I'll report back after tonight.

Ok, didn't see the theatrical version, so I don't know the differences, but this one wasn't bad. The plot doesn't explain much about the world, but you figure it out as you go. Vin's ( a mercenary) hired to bring a "package", a mystery girl, to NY. There are lots of complications and it's quickly apparent this chick is "special". Lot's of fighting, of course. When they get to NY, more of the plot is revealed, with a few holes, but it's forgivable. Some good concepts here that certainly could have been executed better. I wish they had added a bit of backstory here or there during the trip, to introduce some of these elements. Still, I found it interesting and think this really had some potential if the original script was as good as I've heard. Had this been left alone, it might have been another Bladerunner, meaning epic SciFi film. As is, it's not, but it's watchable and very enjoyable if you're a SciFi lover. Two & 1/2 **s

I didn't think it was that bad either, Vin was pretty good, and it had just about every thing a guy could ask for in a movie, explosions, cool gadget, cage fights, car chases, SNOW MOBILE chases!, guys in cool skull helmets fighting priests, just about everything, if they would have thrown alittle T&A in there they would been all set.

It started out strong. I thought the first half was pretty cool but the second half was disappointing. Great sound and action though but mindless. And WTF was that hand all about? LOL
