Onkyo A-9555 – $350 + shipping
Description:
This is a great digital integrated amp from Onkyo. It is 85wpc integrated that has treble/bass adjustments, or if you prefer you can run it using their pure direct mode. I had it running a pair of LSi9s with ease. You can read a great review from Stereophile here, or checkout the 2007 Digital Amp shootout that was done by StereoMojo where it made it to the final round beating out amps that sell for 4x its retail price.
My personal experience with it was solid. First impressions were that it was quite heavy with a big power supply for a digital amp. Sound quality wise I first noticed the pitch black background, and then the killer bass it was very similar to the icepower amps I have tried. It also did a fine job with the mids and highs and was exceptionally detailed, portraying spatial cues and other nuances quite well. My only complaint is that is unforgiving of poorly recorded music, and the system it was going in plays alot of that.
Condition:
I am the second owner. This unit has not seen a ton of use, and probably has <100hrs on it. Physically it is in good condition with a few light small scuffs on the top of the unit, to small to come up well in pictures. There were a couple dings in the front of the unit, which I painted over, and they are now only noticable up close. See pics for details.
Terms:
This will be shipped in the original box w/ the manual and remote. Accepting Paypal (add 3%), money order, or personal check. I will only sell to a buyer with verifiable good feedback. I have feedback on Head-Fi, Club Polk and on Audiogon. For sale in the US only.
Damage: Look to the left of the flash to see the two dings I filled in.

Wasn't aware of anyone that was looking for one on Audioholics, but may be the same guy. I sold it to someone on Audiocircle, put it there for the same price as I had it here for a week, got 2 offers to buy in 30 mins.
