I'm new here , I just got my pair of SDA 2's from an original owner. They are in great condition . I was wondering if anyone could give me some tips on cleaning the mid/woofers. They have a tacky surface and small particles are stuck to them. Thanks, Rich

Welcome to the forum.
Its the best audio forum so make good use of it.
Your best friend besides the guys here will be the search function. The answers you are looking for are easily found using the search function. Windex and a good quality paper towel will work well just be gentile.
You will learn a tremendous amount as I am/did when searching and asking questions. Pictures are always a great idea too.

Correct about the windex. Just spray a little on the towel, then wipe off the dust. Damping a towel with just water also works well. The drivers are supposed to be tacky to the touch, so it sound like they are in really good condition. Good luck and welcome to the forum.

These speakers are amazing! I can't believe they are as old as they are. I have RTi 10's, a A6 center and monitor 30 surrounds. After listening to Wish You Were Here on the SDA 2's the other setup sounds terrible. These speakers may be old but their sound is timeless. I will use the search function and look forward to learning from all of you. Welcome aboard Rich!
I have a 1" angled nylon/polyester bristle paintbrush that I use to gently whisk away dust and lint that isn't too firmly encrusted in tacky stuff. You can directly grip the bristles about 3/4" up from the angled end to generate a little bit more force, but easy does it.
Gentle use of compressed air in a can is good too.
Be really careful using anything with chemicals and test a tiny area first.
Polk's look so cool with the grilles off, but leaving them on protects them from dust, cat hair , etc.VTL ST50 w/mods / RCA6L6GC / TlfnknECC801S

I was Thinking of ordering an Emotiva XPA 5 to drive the SDA 2's any thoughts?Main theater : Pan 54 G10, Onkyo 805, UPA 7, Carver TFM 45, Sony BDP 350, Polk SDA 2 s, Polk CSi A6, Polk RTi4 (X 4 ), Velo CHT 10 (X 2), APC H15.

As indicated by others, Windex sprayed into a soft cotton cloth works great. You want to wipe in a circular motion, that is starting at one point and wiping 360 degrees.
Tip: Leave the grills on and you won't need to clean them again for a very long time.Political Correctness'.........defined

I never take my grills off, with-in reason. My basement has a wood stove which contributes to alot of dust and I have not cleaned my drivers in a year. -
Proof positive, thanks Drew.Political Correctness'.........defined
