Hi im not sure what settings for db or hz or anything else for that matter for my ht setup. If anyone has some helpful tips it would be greatly appreciated.
my set up:
polk surround bar (not the 50)
polk rm101 as rear surrounds
polk psw505 sub
onkyo tx-sr606 receiver

Im also brand new to this so if anyone could tell me if the items i have are good, bad, or so so would also be appreciated.

    Excellent match-
I'd suggest hooking up the SurroundBar the "conventional" way with each channel going to their respective outputs on the receiver. The RM101's to the "surround backs."

    For levels:
Set the front L, C R to zero and the surround sides to +3 to +6 depending on your preference.

The dB level on the surroundbacks will depend on the room acoustics and placement- so that being said, adjust the test tones so they come out about the same volume level as the "side" surround channels.

Set the crossover to 120 Hz on all channels.

doesn't the 606 have audyssey? You could try starting with that and then tweak the settings from there to your liking. It's not perfect, but for me it was a good place to start from, and then I got it where I needed with minimal tweaking.
