Hi,

How many watts does the RM1000W subwoofer have? I'm trying to sell it and I was asked the question. I am guessing 1000 watts, but you never know!

Thanks!

The RM1000 used two 6.5" drivers and a 10" passive radiator, power handling was 125 Watts/channel, with a frequency response of -3dB from 42 Hz to 200 Hz.

I hope this is what you're looking for and welcome.

Maybe they are confused in that some subwoofers are powered with their own on-board amplifier. This unit does not have an on-board amplifier. It must be hooked to an external amplifier. A sub generally combines left and right channel signals and acts as only one channel and a sub is omnidirectional (hard to pinpoint the source of the sound) and used to supplement the bass signal from a 2 point stereo or (multi-point surround) sound system.

Here is the product spec sheet for your sub. Send this to them and it should answer all their questions. Omnidirectional when talking about subs means that the sound travels in all directions, 360 degrees. Hope this helps you out.:)

Bass frequencies are omnidirectional by nature, no matter what the source.

Plenty of confusion here, and none of it is coming from the prospective buyer.

Asking how many watts it has, it sounds like the buyer thinks it is a powered subwoofer. It is not, it is passive (powered by the receiver/amp).

    NJPOLKER's link was spot on.

Hope this is what you are looking for.
