which front speakers to buy with rm8 surrounds

I just bought the rm 95 package. It comes with 4 rm 8s satellites an rm8 center and a psw111 for the sub. It actually sounds better then I thought it would for such small speakers. For games and movies they really do a good job for the price.

Music though is another story. Very little mid range. It's really alright though, because I'm wanting to go 7.1. How would a set of RTi A3s do up front. I think I would get the midrange I'm looking for with those. The 6 1/2 woofer should do the trick. I don't know how they would sound with the other smaller speakers though. I also don't know if any of polk's speakers are voice matched with the rm8s. I'm really new to the surround sound arena. I have had several all in one box sets, but this is my first venture into buying separate components.

Any ideas on which speakers I could put up front with the rm8s would be useful. I really do like the sound of those little speakers, I just need some more oomph up front for stereo listening.

You're on the right track, a larger bookself speaker will give you more oomph- as it can move more air in the midbass region.

RTi A3 will likely give you what you're looking for. You may want to upgrade the center channel to be a more consistent match though.

    Thanks for the info Eric.
A couple more questions. How will the RM8s sound when paired with the RTi A3s up front. Will they match up nicely or will the larger speakers really show the faults of my smaller RM8s, and would the CSi A4 be an alright center for this setup. It kind of seems like it needs a lot of power. I only have 90 watts per channel for now. Would that push the center enough to make it sound like it should.
