Congrats. No way you're getting off without posting some photos though.;) It's required. Nobody will laugh.

About value though. Everyone should be required to build a set of speakers at least once before they comment on the good-deal/bad-deal thing. Every now and then someone will ask if a certain speaker is worth "it". Generally the sum mentioned wouldn't cover the cost to build the cabinets. As you remarked, you couldn't touch speakers that sound like yours for the money invested. You did good; not just because you like the sound of your speakers, but because they have your fingerprints inside the cabinets.

Now, take your time and shop for a set of good SDA-2Bs to mod, and a nice tube amp and ...and ... After that you can search for a good 12 step program.:D

Ok, here is a couple of pics. The first one is the old and new xovers side by side. I took that with my phone, so it's not the best. The second is the towers, and I took that LATE last night when I finished so I was half asleep. Go ahead, make fun of my "set up":o

Not bad, you don't need to use that much glue though.

As for placement, if you can, move them forward to the edge of your rack. Also, try to move them out to the sides more. You really don't want anything between your speakers, especially large objects such as a TV. Think of a equilateral triangle, if you're 5' from each your speakers, you want them 5' apart from each other. YMMV though.

    Enjoy!

Looks like a very respectible job to me. I don't think the is any harm in using a lot of glue. It probably serves to dampen vibrations. I've considered going as far as potting the entire affair due to that concern.
