    Oh, he will get pushed to continue and practice, but not like "Old School". I guess when I said would not push, I was thinking of how things were done 40 or 50 years ago.

    The investment in the guitar, the lessons and I hate to say it, the opportunity costs, come into effect. Sorry, I cannot let go of my old time economics education. Today you need to put a positive spin on things with kids instead of teaching by the school of hard knocks. Just my opinion. He a smart, dependable child and I know he will thank me down the road for keeping him involved. I'm not a perfect parent by any means, just trying to be a good Dad.

    That is exactly what I was thinking. They need a little push to keep them going (but don't turn him into a prodigy). I didn't notice if you mentioned what type of axe you picked up. What did you get?
