Well, it's 5:00 p.m. and in about an hour, friends and family will start arriving for the annual New Years Day supper at my house. I don't have a very big house, but there will be about 30 people here for a sit down dinner.

The system is warmed up and playing, the tables and chairs are set, the food is being prepared, and the poker chips are ready.

Last night it was at my sisters' house and we got back from that at 4 a.m.

X-mas eve is at my brothers' place and X-mas day was at my other sisters' house.

I wish you all a very healthy and prosperous 2009. I raise my glass (Bloody Ceasar) to all the Polk family.

Cheers!

Joe

Ok.......it's all done and behind us. Everyone loved the food. After the meal, groups split up to do their thing...some chatted, some played poker, some played cards, and of course I was in the man-cave going through DVD concerts such as The Eagles, David Gilmore, ELO "Zoom", Depeche Mode, and watched Terminator 2.

The clean up duties are done. Tomorrow morning...well "this" morning, we pack the bags and drive to New York City for our second annual trip to the Blue Note to see Chris Botti and his band tonight. Saturday we do the sightseeing thing, and Sunday we head back.

I hope everyone had a good time wherever you were.
