Happy New Year all!
Question: if a double-run shotgun bi-wire speaker cable (Signalcable Ultra) is being used on a non-bi-wire speakers with the respective + and - cables combined at the speaker posts, what is:
a) The effective gauge?
b) any benefit(s)?
Just curious. TIA.

I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

Double the cross-sectional area is the same as going up in gauge by 3.
Double up on 14 gauge and you have 11 gauge. The benefit is that of a bigger wire.
Make sure to make the cables the same length and freshly strip all ends. Even a difference of a few inches could count. -
