anyone know what is the exact frequency response on the dx9 6x9 woofer section... not the whole speaker.. not the middy, not the tweeter... just the woofer cone... ????
((debating cutting out the middy too but unsure of whether or not i'd get a "hole" and i'm not real keen on soldering it back together in 7 degree weather outside)).

i hate you and your palm trees (i know there aren't any in florida, but its for asthetics)... a little more every day....
ehh... screw it.. i'll prolly leave it anyway... i'll end up buying two pair of momo 6x9's and a momo tweeter set come summer anyway ) i'll just "not hook up" one of the bi amp-able inputs so that only the woofer is bumpin. dude you've got no idea how much of a pain it was to get in there with a little pair of like surgical lookin cutters and cut that damn tweeter power wire.
who wants to place a bet on how long it takes for them to hit ebay?!?! ... i bet "psuedo scalpers" will have them up the day before they even hit stores. The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge -

lol
bad thing is in the summer its HOT

if its the amp i'm gonna be even twice as ticked off... those amps are harder to find than DX speakers.. lol....
that's the 2nd speaker in that door to go.. i'm wondering if it might be the wiring... doctor vinnie and his DMM are gonna do an Autopsy (spelling) saturday

This has got to be the funniest dang forum that i ahve ever read. Just listining to the two of you go at it is hilarious. Oh btw PBD I'm in Nebraska and the temps here are around 40. Just had to let you know. You need to move to a more southern state. As for Texas... I lived there too and supermen is right... it gets toooooooo damn hot. I'm suprised the dang speakers don't melt in the heat that he is talking about (and I have felt). As for your problem... Good luck on the dissection. Who knows after you cut that wire it may have come in ontact with something else and shorted out. You never said how much you cut or if you taped it off. I'm guess that you taped it off (i hope so). Anyway. Good luck in the medical field.

forecast for monday

still think you shouldve gone with pyle

Hey Vinnie don't get too hot under the collar (or wait maybe that will warm you up a bit). Supermen will get his when summer hits. We will be relaxing in 70-80 degree weather and he will be cooking when it is 100+ week after week after week after week after....... You get the picture. Whe you an I are hopping in our cars he will be emptying dozens of Auqafinia bottles (at a buck apiece) onto his door handles so he can hop in his ride without cooking his fingers. We could rebuild our entire systems for the amount he will spend just trying to open his doors so he can listen to his system. Oh did I mention the outragous cost of A/C recharge that he will have to do every five years or so? I guess not. Trust me Vinnie. He will get his... Just wait.
(sorry supermen but I kinda gotta side with the guy who stopped me from making some grevious mistakes early in my life as an audiophile)Patience... patience...

air conditioners? whats an airconditioner? i never heard of one... never saw one... we get to about 50 deg F around beginning of june ... that's when we can actually turn it from "heat" to "vent" with the heaty thingy knob like halfway between "Red" and "blue"....
I've never driven with all blue yet... i think i'd get frostbite...
truck dont like heat neither -- that's how i blew that radio shack amp -- 110 degrees inside the car down through georgia / florida and then "sizzle" amp goes up after being on for like 13 hours straight for 2 days at high power cuz u can't drive 85 on the thruway in a pickup carrying 1,000 lbs of luggage and grille and whatever in the bed (under sport lid of course) without the windows down and the radio so loud that the local wildlife scatter in terror as you veer from left to right all over the road cuz you're falling asleep and dont even know it.
far as medicine -- i actually started out Pre-Med/Biology major in college... had a free ride for it... that lasted um... 4 months? ya... 4 months -- then i decided i wanted to drink more, sleep more... work less... and whatta ya know... i am the man i am today.
far as the speaker -- actually ..some of that line is left over from a circuit city install like 5 yrs ago... ya i know... dont say it.
i'll deal with it when i get to it -- i didn't get a chance this wknd -- i had to like be a pimp and sit online drinking vanilla coke. The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge -
I thought that pimps drank 40's and you quit med school to drink more beer... So what's up with the vanilla coke?
Once again I must reiterate that this is the funniest thread I have ever read... Hey I'm a poet and didn't know itPatience... patience...

*shaking so much he falls over dizzy* -- if i ever have kids, i hope they're exactly the polar opposite of me, our only similarity being a genetic hatred for JL Audio... who knows by the time i have some maybe they'll have perfected test tube reproduction to the point that i can program brand preferences and such into them, including but not limited to an affinity for Ebay.
*lifts a glass* -- here's to my kid(s) saying "MOMO" and "High current stereo bridgeable amplifier" before they say "Daddy".
I already trained my girlfriend's amazon parrot to say it(not on command yet though). I wanna videotape him in front of this big "polk audio speaker specialist" drag banner my buddy stole from circuit and have him say "momo" on cue as he tears apart the foam surround on a W7.
hell... i think i could get SPONSORED for that commercial. The Artist formerly known as PoweredByDodge -
itd be better if you had a dog that could say momo...
lol
like on the movie polly....
i say momo...they say momo...momo momo momo momo
1000 pounds?
thats weak....
but i have a 2500
so yeah
it got up to 81* today
but we got a cold front
so now its going to be like in the 40s-50s
still jealous huh?
vanilla coke is good with crown
but right now i cant even afford the vanilla coke...much less the crown
keske944
as for the poet thing..
you dont suppose its just a fling?
as for the kids these days...
maybe its just a phase
a little advice for anyone that needs it
