Happy New Year to all Polkies. To bring in 2009 right I thought I'd purge a little of my vinyl collection of some dead weight. I have three Bryan Adams LP's that I obtained buying collections. Even though I'm Canadian and proud of it I am NOT a Bryan Adams fan and will never listen to these LP's. All three LP's are in VG+ or better condition jackets and vinyl. They are:

Cuts Like a Knife (1983)
Reckless (1984)
Into the Fire (1987)

I still can't decide on whether or not to keep them together or three seperate draws. What do you folks think? Three seperate costs me three postages. To be in just say in and tell my why you think some people only send Karma's to the lower 48 when there are clearly good Polkies in Hawaii (Keiko), Alaska (Snow), Canada(you know who you are) and around the world. Open to anyone anywhere. Will draw on Sunday January 4. Good luck and a happy and prosperous New Year to you all.

Good karma! I'd like to be in, but don't really have an explanation for the lower 48 restriction. Could come down to shipping cost, but that could be worked out.

Not in. Nice Karma though. :)

I think that the reason/s that some people choose not to ship to Alaska, Hawaii Canada etc is that not only does it cost a little more to ship to these places from the lower 48 states it can be a pain to have to travel to a post office and in the case of Canada or any other foreign country they have to fill out customs forms.

Pretty much the only semi affordable way to ship to Alaska is via USPS and for some people it is harder for them to get to a post office when they can call UPS or FedEx and have them come pick the package up at there convienence and sometimes for less than what they can ship the item for at the post office in the lower 48. And since these people are nice enough to offer there items up free of charge allready I personally do not have a problem paying the postage. But as always the people offering up Karmas have the right to put any stipulations they wish on them.

Well, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all :D

    In please.

People shipping stuff here up north should just ask us for suggestions, if needed. There are many good ways to ship audio equipment safely to Canada and to avoid crazy UPS/FedEx cross-border "brokerage" bs fees. USPS Priority has always worked great for me (fully insured).

Agreed. USPS is much less problematic than any other method US to Canada.

Anyone else? Draw tomorrow morning. Johnny (my son) and I discussed it and think it should be one draw for all three. Keep them together. Odds are pretty good so far. Only six in as of this writing.

And the winner as drawn by placing 5 entries into a hat and pulled by my son John is........DaveMuell!! Dave gets all three since John and I feel they should stay together. Look for more vinyl karma's as I cull the collection of doubles and selections I don't listen to. Conrats Dave. PM sent
