This may be old news but I am building my own acoustic panals using Owings Corning 705.
I found it local at Specialty Products and Insulation. They are in most major cities. A lot cheaper than ordering on-line. I paid $13.20 for 2"x2'x4' per panel.
They have 703 as well.
Here is a link to their website store locator. http://www.spi-co.com/directory.html

I'm in Canada so opted to use Roxul mineral wool instead. Basically in-wall fiberglass designed for fire and sound reasons. The NRC ratings are better at some frequencies, but the owens beats them out when you consider the bass absorption. At 2" thick, I doubt you will absorb much bass or midbass.
I made the frames out of birch plywood. The biggest cost was wood. I paid I think 30$ for eight pieces of 3" (2' x 4') insulation and about 80$ in wood to make 4 panels.
I have one panel on the wall next to my bed and managed to knock it down one day. I was not impressed to have to take the sheets off and shake out the little fibers. That made me think I should have looked harder for the OC.
Best of luck on your project.
Notes:
-if you can pull the panel away from the wall a bit, you will improve its bass reponse
-try not to place them too symmetrically in the room
-the final frames might be heavier than you anticipate, so don't skimp on their strength
-most importantly, leave them in place once installed. It will drastically alter your system and the room as well. Once you get accustomed to it, you won't regret it. -

Thanks ! I do plan to leave a 1-2" gap in the rear. Mine will be frameless using a bag design.
SO sews alot and can even embroider logos on them.
Anyway, just passing the word if anyone is looking for a local supplier.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

Thanks for the link. There is a location close. Acoustic panels are the next thing to do for the man cave. I will make wood frames and space the panels away from the wall at least 2".Main system: Lyngdorf TDAI 2170 w/ Pioneer 42" plazma-> Polk LSiM 703 w/Tivo, Marantz tuner, BRPTT: Nothingham Spacedeck-> Pioneer PL L1000 linear arm-> Soundsmith DL 103R-> SUT->Bottlehead ErosDigital: I3 PC w/ Jriver playing flac -> Sonore Ultrarendu -> Twisted Pair Audio ESS 9028 w/ Mercury IVY Vinyl rips: ESI Juli@24/192-> i3 PC server
