Purchase RTi12's over RTi10's or 8's?

Speakers are sounding very nice in the front and can't wait to get the matching center...:D
I wonder if they'll ever have that dang CSi5 for sale under $250 or if Polk Direct will ever get more of the new A6 in they had a month ago or so...AVR- Onkyo TX-SR503

I agree. The 8s are best for your Onkyo. You should consider getting some more power for those as RTis are all 4 ohm rated and all lower end Onkyos can only handle 6-8 ohm loads so don't clip your receiver!
Suggestions above are great. Many people feel that the RTi10s are the most 'controlled' sounding of the series because the 12s have a bit too much bottom end that can get out of hand or muddy unless you have fantastic amplification to keep it in line.
Enjoy your new speakers. It's so exciting when they arrive and you get to unbox them and set it all up, break them in, etc. I just added another sub to my system and it's been a great upgrade...a lot to be said for subs on either side of your room.

I've seen this off the Amazon site...what I'm saying is that I would like to see the price come down less than $250. When I picked up the RTi8's for $150 each maybe I should have just picked another up and laid it on its side.AVR- Onkyo TX-SR503

Unless they offer stand alone amps to make this possible somehow, my Onkyo model doesn't have preouts for adding extra power. I suppose there is probably some way to use both an AVR with no preouts and and external amplifier I would guess, but I haven't looked into that yet...AVR- Onkyo TX-SR503

I doubt you will see the price much less for the CSi5. Perhaps it may go down to $200 at JR before they sell out. The RTi8 makes a nice center standing upright with the RTi8 fronts. Many would say that it is the ideal combination to have the same center as the surrounds.
I ran RTi'8s all around in my master bedroom system and it sure sounded nice.
If standing upright, where exactly would you try to place that speaker? In front/middle of the TV?
There must be some sort of off center setup that works just as good as putting right above/below the TV?AVR- Onkyo TX-SR503

Anybody know what the deal is with the discontinuation of the rti8, 10, 12 all that? I'm trying to get my hands on a pair but no such luck anywhere I look?
