Anyone here deal with it or web design? Where is a good place to start learning or teaching yourself it? I found one website that explains it, but so far it seems to leave out a lot of explanations from what I'm seeing.

Try Dave's Site, it's not too bad

    http://www.davesite.com/webstation/html/

The one from Maricopa is OK too.

Those are both links that I have passed on to freinds in the past. Some liked one better than the other. If you prefer a book tutorial, the dummies series is pretty good. Also the one published by QUE will go into great detail and explnations as you work thru the book.

Do either of you work with html or any web design? How much of it is truely important to learn, or is there something else that would be more beneficial?

If you can afford to buy software you should look at the Adobe CS4 Web Premium..

I'll look into it, I havent paid for much of the software I've gotten recently, such as final cut pro, adobe creative suite, vmware and a few others. I'm sure I can find a copy somewhere :)
