I'm looking for this center to use with my SRS's. Preferably not the CS400i which has the blue drivers. Any leads would be appreciated. Thanks

I found a CS400i and bought it. Thanks again.

I asked MX how to handle the blue drivers and he said just spray paint them black with Rustoleum and it wouldn't alter the sound at all. I trust his opinion.............
For real, congrats on the 400i - it's a GREAT center."What we do in life echoes in eternity"

I was concerned about the sonic difference between the CS400 and the i version. The tweeter is the same which is the most important reason for me. I did not want to hear any difference combined with my SRS's. Thanks

The tweeter is a tri-lam, but it does have a subtle timbre difference as compared to the 400.
Email tour2ma - he just discussed this same very topic with Ken S @ Polk.
FWIW, I just purchased a pair of fx1000's which have the "old" tri-lam (AFAIK) and the rest of my speaks have the "i" tri-lam and I'm not the least bit worried about it. I'm sure they will sound very, very close.

Hey Doc, whats the update on the fx1000's? How is it going?

Walter (wallstreet) shipped them today, but the tracking number he provided didn't work with UPS, so I emailed him. He probably wrote it down wrong, or they haven't scanned it in yet - I'm sure he'll figure out what happened and it'll be OK. Other than that, everything else is done and ready to rock. I'll post a separate thread with pics when they are finally installed."What we do in life echoes in eternity"

Well, not quite. You see Dr. Spec is like my 5 year olds at Christmas time. I can't say that I blame him. He is in for a sweet sounding present. You actually have to wait for the UPS delivery person to pick up the package before the tracking number works.
Now if I can just find someone else who will sell some 400's for a song to replace my 1000's. -

More like a 3 year old. I was just getting worried - it took from Saturday morning to Monday evening for the tracking number to start working. I was just being anal and Wallstreet dealt with it really well - thanks for putting up with me!
Well the GREAT news is that delivery is scheduled for 2-14 (FRIDAY) so I'll have the ENTIRE weekend for hook-up and demo. YESSSSSS...........
Uhh....is there something else going on 2-14 that I should be aware of? I can't think of anything besides my 1000's arriving.

Oh.....right. The big V - almost forgot. Thanks for the reminder. I think I feel a new thread coming on in off-topic."What we do in life echoes in eternity"

No sweat. I would be the same in your shoes. That's why I've never bought anything on Ebay. Before I bought these 1000's from electroline, I verified and double verified they were factory sealed. As it was, Electoline was an unauthorized dealer. But I had to have my 1000's. And they were they only ones that had any in stock. On top of that, I've only been on this forum for a month, so there's no history to indicate my psychotic behavior. :supermad:
