I would like to ask for your recommendations in How to connect my PSW1000 sub woofer.
Let me explain the equipment that I own to help me better.
I have a ROtel 1082 preamplifier (2 preouts), a Rotel 1070 stereo amplifier (2 channels) , a ROtel speaker selector rs900 (I connected here 1 pair of POlk RT7 speakers and a bose acousticmass 5) and now i get the PSW1000 subwoofer.
I also bought a subwoofer cable, but according with some readings, Y adapters are not recommended due to left or right (depending which you use) will be lose.
So do you recommend me to connect the subwoofer using the (Speaker in plugs) to the speaker selector (RS900) and then connect the acousticmass speaker using the subwoofer (speaker out plug).
I also heard that doing so, you can miss the low frequencies and only mid and high frequencies could be delivered to the Bose speakers. If this is true and If you agree this will not affect to much since the Bose subwoofer doesnt have to much presence.
Do you think this is possible, or I am just saying crazy things.

page 6 of your users manual explains exactly how to hook up a pre amp, subwoofer and power amp. it has pictures and diagrams.. page 6 will help walk you though the set up.
good luck.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

Thanks Dangerboy for your feedback, but the manual doesnt explain my situation, let me explain why I ask for your support.
I bought by mistake a subwoofer cable, but the preamplifier that I have, only have 2 preouts (1 for the amplifier and the other one will be used for the sub), but as I said before, I bought this cable and according with some readings is not recommended to use Y adapters, so do you thinks it is better to buy another RCA cables or to connect the subwoofer to the speaker selector and then the bose speakers to the subwoofer. -
ok. i understand the cable problem you are having. according to (page 6) of the users manual. you need two of those subwoofer cables.
this is the connections as it says in the manual. and I would trust the manual over anyone else.
Rotel pre amp outputs. Left and Right to to subwoofer line in left and right.
line out of subwooer via two more RCA cables goes to in on the back of your Rotel amp.
speakers hook up to amp as they normally would.
page 5 of the users manual explains how to use the Y splitters.. you can not accomplish this with only one subwoofer cable.. you need at least one more subwoofer cable and two Y splitters (page 5)PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

Sorry Danger Boys for my ignorance, but Subwoofer cables can be used as a RCA cable? You said that I should buy another one, to connect the sub (Left & right) on each channel of the Preamplifier.
The Subwoofer cable is not like the coaxial cables, where two signals (L& R) can be send in one cable. So if I am correct, is like using coaxial cables like RCA cables.
Could you please explain me or give me more support?
Thanks in advance. -
subwoofer cables and RCA cables both do the same thing... some people will say you can not use a subwoofer cable in place of a regular RCA cable.. but you can. if it fits and it works.. that's all that matters.
so use any RCA cables you already have. or any subwoofer cables you already have. both will work.. both have RCA connectors on the ends.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?

You can also, just run the sub cable to either the L or R rca input. Unless you want to run both...?I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE!
