Wow. i just heard about Eartha.
She'll always be the best Catwoman.PolkFest 2012, who's going>?
Vancouver, Canada Sept 30th, 2012 - Madonna concert  -
Pretty amazing. She dies on the day when we celebrate by spinning her most well known (I think?) song.
Irony."Wish I didn't know now what I didn't know then." Bob Seger -
I just read that she was born and raised about 20 miles from where I live in S.C.!
Apparently, she wasn't too fond of the area, (because she was bi-racial),
she wasn't treated too good growing up back then:(I refuse to argue with idiots, because people can't tell the DIFFERENCE! -

Agreed. Incredible actress. A true triple threat -- dancer, singer, actress -- like so many entertainers back in those days.
And she had the guts to speak out against the Vietnam War, so she was unable to get work in the USA for several years thereafter (so much for freedom of speech:rolleyes:).HT/2-channel Rig: Sony 50 LCD TV; Toshiba HD-A2 DVD player; Emotiva LMC-1 pre/pro; Rogue Audio M-120 monoblocks (modded); Placette RVC; Emotiva LPA-1 amp; Bada HD-22 tube CDP (modded); VMPS Tower II SE (fronts); DIY Clearwave Dynamic 4CC (center); Wharfedale Opus Tri-Surrounds (rear); and VMPS 215 sub

A classy lady. Heres hoping you find more peace where your at now then you did here on earth. RIP
REGARDS SNOWWell, I just pulled off the impossible by doing a double-blind comparison all by myself, purely by virtue of the fact that I completely and stupidly forgot what I did last. I guess that getting old does have its advantages after all -
Heres a couple links to the original recording of Santa baby and in 2006 a slightly different version and still has an amazing voice and face at 79 years old
