Yet another pair of Adcom GFA-555 up for grab

These pair were seen by many polkies in Bay Area during the 2007 summar gathering. They are excellent electronically and very good cosmetically. All will come with the original user manual. Price is a firm $325 each, shipped to lower 48 states. Picture will be posted later.

BTW, they do have balls to use with your precious SDA's

Edit: forgot to say "each", it couldn't be such a Christmas bargain at $325 a pair, LOL.

Hi Ray,

Got your PM and replied. Before the Adcom's leaving my door, I will install the 8 bypass caps that I purchased long time ago. From what I have read so far, some people claimed the bypass enhancement provided very noticeable improvement in transient response. You will not be disappointed.

There is definite wood. I just biamped my Rti 12's with 2 of these. I have dual cs350 centers with 200w each from Outlaw monoblocks My Rear Lsi F/X's are getting one of these and my new side f/x1000's are getting one That with the 1000w 4 15" Infinite baffle sub should round out the cinema rather well. It wasn't until a Polk freak neighbor of mine introduced me to Polk and then I found you crazy bunch of polkies that I realized Polk was the only way for me to go. By the way, anybody need any RT/FX, LS/FX, FX300i or FXi50 ? (my stepping blocks to Polk Bipole Nirvana:)) I'll be posting them directly

Money sent, wife NOT told, yet. When she is, she will be told that as a man, it is my sole responsibility to determine the necessity of purchasing high dollar equipment at bargain prices so as to enhance our ultimate bedroom cinema experience. I think she'll go for it. She usually does. She let me put a 120" screen, Sony G70, 8 foot rack of equipment 2 rows of theatre seating, back row on a riser and popcorn maker and a Mini fridge in our bedroom.:eek:SWEET! She told me the other day she wanted me to install a wet bar.

I am reforming one of the amp's with a variac and will do the same for the other tomorrow. I always do that if the amp is not in action for 6 months, just want to be nice to the big caps

Edit: ding, the pictures really came out badly. It can be the stupid flash light. I can guarantee the amps are much much better than the pictures show. I will take a couple more pictures under the day light tomorrow.

I know what you mean, I had a pair of 555's that looked great in person,, but just try to photograph them,, It must have something to do with the flash and the "ribbing" on the faceplate. congratulations on the sale, and to the new owner as well. Enjoy.

Besides the flashlight reflection, a major reason is also my POS camera Here are a few that were taken without the flash. They definitely have a lot less artifacts. I have been busy to hunt for the "right" boxes this morning. So far, I only found one and had one amp boxed. Must find another one :mad:

GOD im drooling. THOSE ARE beautiful. I just sent you an email asking if you still had them. I didnt read all of the posts saying that someone else already asked for them. Anyways, Good luck finding boxes, lol. I wish i had two of those. Im buying a pair of rti10's and can only imagine how these two amps will sound powering them.

When these showed up I was getting ready for news Year eve stuff so I didn't get a chance to open the boxes. I finally got them opened last night. Man these puppies are SWEEEET!!! Probably the best looking set of used amps I've ever received. I will be integrating them into my cinema in the next couple of days. Thanks for such a great deal!:D
