    Here's a link for the Sony XDR-F1HD :

    http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/ASIN/B00168Q248/themussou05146643-20

On Amazon, it's on sale for $75 + $10 shipping.

Don't know anything about it personally, but the Customer Review rating is 4 out of 5.

One nice thing about this unit (and others like it, I suppose) is this:

"No Monthly Subscription Fees - HD Radio programming is free, unlike satellite radio where you have to purchase a subscription. "

    That's a plus !

Well I ordered one. @ $87 and change shipped. We shall see how good it is. Some of the reviews I have read say it is one of the best tuners they have ever heard/measured.

Amouse. I use a Roku in my whole house system and it works pretty well running off iTunes for play list and I do listen to some of the internet station every once and a while.

The Sangean is about twice as much as the Sony. So Sony it is.

    Thanks

It has been widely praised for its RF and AF performance; definitely worth a shot for anyone who wants/needs FM (digital or analog) and wants to play with new production for short bux.

Thinking about this tuner also. Your initial thoughts on this? Are the sound and build quality decent? Read the review that said the backlight stays on...how distracting is it really?

Here is my new Sony HD Radio tuner in my job site trailer. Nice clear FM for me now. If you look closely through the window you an see the house I am building.

The tuner is powered by my DIY tube pre Accurian based integrated and my matching semi DIY monitor speakers based on Boston Acoustics in walls that I removed from a renovation for the same client @ 2003.
