OK first item in my sell off of extra stuff. I like to buy but seldom ever let anything go, even if it never gets used, but I've gone a bit overboard and still have more stuff on the radar to buy so I'm breaking down:

First up: a pair of Brand New in the Box - still factory sealed LSi9 Ebony finish bookshelf speakers. So 10/10 condition. They were sold as refurbs, but so far my experience with the refurbs speakers from Polkdirect is that they were new or as like new as you could possibly get. They were never opened- the shipper delivered them and they went into a closet-still there now.

I'm selling these as I ended up with more LSi9's than I really need and these are Ebony while the rest of my setup is Cherry (duh!). I may consider selling another pair of these (in cherry) but I still have to figure out the direction my new HT rig is going.

The warranty won't transfer but I'll guarantee that they will work when you recieve them. No pics as they are still sealed in the box.
Here is a link to the Polk site to see pics and specs.

$555 + shipping. Local pickup is an option. I'll accept Cash (local only), PayPal (no fee) or USPS Money Order. For now the sale is exclusive to the Polk forum.

Thanks for looking!
-Madden

Mike, give me a shout if you decide to sell your cherry 9's. I'm in the market for some and am trying to sell my speakers now. It would give us a great excuse to meet up.

    Sorry for the delay
Just FYI, there are a couple polkies in line ahead of you with dibs-(they just didn't post it in the thread)

In the meantime though what's your zip code and is it a home or business address? I'll look it up.

FYI, According to the FedEx Calculator to your zip via Home Delivery/insured it would cost about $29. If it were shipped Ground/insured to a business its calculated to be about $13. Both are 1-2 day delivery.

Opposites sides of the state. Wasn't much more to San Diego.
That is pretty cheap, esp compared to Polk's flat rate pricing. I get a discounted price via my company fedex account. In some shipping options it's only a couple dollars in others its almost like 50%-65%. One would think that Polk had the volume shipping to qualify for such discounts as well. Its much cheaper to ship Ground to a bus addy as well.
I try not to use the work account much since I have to write a check out each time, but for big/heavy items like this it only makes sense to save on the shipping.

    Thanks for update..

To all who might be interested-- on 1/28/09 it seems that polkdirect put a whole load of lsi9 and 7's up for sale -- both ebony and cherry. As I see they don't come up for sale in this forum very often thought it might be of interest to others. MMadden's price and s&h estimates are lower (and no tax).... but I had to balance that w/ being 3rd in line and giving up the warranty. BOL to all in finding what they are looking for

One must also consider that if they were going to do the Crossover upgrade, the warranty would be voided anyway.

Parasomia-you're up if still interested-CaligulaPolk is going for the RTi series.

Very much - that was insane!

I know we're just on the opposite sides of PA, but to have it delivered in around 24 hours on a Saturday. WOW. Maybe I need to start going to Fedex for deliveries ;)

I'd also like to say that mmadden is a very very cool dude. Fun to b.s with and just excellent all around with the process. Rock on!
