Question about hooking up my TV

So I've been having this problem playing DVD's lately. My TV is an old school CRT tv, and the only connection it has on the back is an F-pin input. Obviously, my DVD player doesn't have an output to match it, so I've been running it through my VCR to the TV. I didn't have this problem before I upgraded my VCR like 6 months ago, but since I got my new one, only about half of my DVD's will play.

They still play in the DVD player, but new VCR's have a feature that prevents you from sending copy protected material into them, to prevent you from recording it. The picture still goes through to the TV, but it's constantly cutting out to a blue screen, and the picture is real blurred in general.

I was wondering if I could use an adapter that has a female F-connector on one end and a male RCA connector on the other end to hook it up.

The connector I'm talking about is the fifth one down on this page.

If that doesn't work, I guess I'll have to buy an RF modulator. I'm just trying to avoid having another thing to fit onto my already cramped A/V shelf. Any suggestions for a good RF modulator? Is there even such a thing as a good RF modulator, or are they all basically the same thing?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Your TV has no composite (yellow) input? How about S-video? Your DVD player outputs both those formats.

lol...I knew there were gonna be comments telling me to get a new TV. That's not really an option for me right now though unfortunately. The only input that my TV has is an F-pin (cable) input. It was probably made in the mid-late 80's or something, it still works good though and I didn't pay anything for it, so it get's the job done for now. My audio is more important for the time being, so I'm just looking for the cheap fix to get me by.

I think I found what I was looking for though. http://www.amazon.com/RCA-CRF910-Auto-Switching-Modulator/dp/B00008X5DC/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1229846381&sr=1-8

I was just hoping I could make it work without having to squeeze something else in with all my components, but it'll have to do for the time being.

A plasma TV is definitely on the list though. Most likely a 42" or so. After I upgrade my speakers though...my sound quality is more important to me, so I can deal with not having high def for another year or so.

    Thanks for the replys though.
