I've decided to go with monitors due to space and other issues. These are my babies and they are every bit as good as the hype. Very musical and superb for home theater. And they look damn good, too. Most would say that these are the best floorstanders under $2000, but then again, phrases like that are thrown around these days. All I know is I liked them much better than my LSi9's and the 15's I heard. And that's saying a lot. Here's my link on the av123 forum.

I'm away on vacation until 1/13 so I can't do a pick-up/delivery of these until then. I just wanted to get this out there as a gauge. As shown on that link, looking for $1100 when I get back.

+1 for the 850s. I've always been curious about the Rocket line since they share the same Vifa tweeter as the LSis and how they would measure against each other. I finally had an opportunity to demo an all-Rocket HT last month and I thought they were better than the LSis in every way. The 850s specifically threw a larger and deeper soundstage and are overall a much more balanced speaker from top to bottom. More detailed mid and bass than my LSi15s

Thanks for the kind words. I know lots of people are in love with the LSi's and these would be a step up (even if a smaller step) for a little more than used 15's.
Also, I'm looking to go with some LSi9's or 15's in cherry if anybody has any to trade... -

Interesting. I have a LSI 5.1 setup in cherry (lsi15, lsi7, lsic) that I am thinking of parting. Maybe we can work something out. I am not really into HT anymore so they get use maybe once a month.Main Gear
