Logging in to XBOX360 tonight and was pleasantly surprised with the advanced interface update. Very nice! WTG, MS!
I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.

I am sure somewhere in the xbox.com gamer forum. I was just impressed with the new avatar and GUI.

Its works JUST like the ps3 menu only it scrolls vertically instead of horizontally. Then you get the avatars like the wii.

    The main changes are:
Netflix streaming (in HD as well)
Universal party chat with up to 8 people (you can all be in different games, etc.)
    Avatars
    GUI updates (obviously)
More functionality in the guide (the window that pops up when you hit the center button on the controller in any game)

Overall I think the NXE is great and with Live as its backbone it is what keeps MS ahead of Sony.

another bonus i noticed... there was a clitch that if you let your Xbox Live Gold membership expire you got screwed and couldnt revert to silver and therefore could not access the marketplace, etc.

This update fixed it, for me at least... and it was definitely a pleasant surprise to be able to use my original xbox live account, reverted to silver with no limitations... very cool

I like all the new features, and it looks pretty cool. The only thing I thought was weird was that with the new slick look- for some reason the screens for selecting memory device/sign-in out etc. got way uglier! Now it's just that blue box, but it used to be transparent black with that chrome looking border. Not a big deal, but since they updated with such nice graphics, I thought that was kind of a strange choice.
