Replacements for SDA 2 (original with 3 mid/woofers)

I just won a pair of SDA 2, ones with 3 mid/woofers and 2 tweeters in each cabinet, over eBay. Upon their arrival from down south to my location in the north apparently 2 of the mid/woofers in the right speaker froze or died. I partially removed both these units to get the model number from the back of the speakers. They are MW6501. My question is as to the availability of these speakers from Polk. I would think that they would occasionally be available over eBay. Just this past week there were several pairs of MW6005 listed on eBay. I was uncertain of the compatability of this model with the ones in my speakers, therefore, I did not bid. Can anyone shed some light on my querry as to availability and perhaps if another model will fill the bill to sustitute for the MW6001.

Hi and welcome! I'm kinda new to Polk SDAs myself so I can't say for sure if your drivers are still available from Polk. I think they probably are, and if given the choice of new or used, I'll take new!! If you order from Polk, tell them you're a CP member and you'll get a good discount. The used ones match better IMHO. If you can get new mention that you are a Club Polk member to get the discount.
