I'm looking for some srs 1.2tls. I'd like them to be in the midwest for pick up/shipping reasons but willing to play for shipping for a nice set. Yes I understand how big and heavy they are but in South Dakota you don't have much of a choice when looking for certain things ;)

    It's an overrated loudspeaker. I'd suggest some lower priced gems like the 2.3TL, SDA SRS 2 or even the SDA1C.
    CTC BBQ Amplifier, Sonic Frontiers Line3 Pre-Amplifier and Wadia 581 SACD player. Speakers? Always changing but for now, Mission Argonauts I picked up for $50 bucks, mint.

    if you already have 1C's,, you might want to seriously consider the 2.3TL's,with adequate amounts of high power/current. Good luck on your search.:)

    Don't discount the SRS 2s...same driver config as 1Cs, but with a much better cabinet and a 15"pr. In my 455sq ft room, no sub was ever needed or contemplated. When I get back on my feet, it's either SRS 2s or 2.3TLs again.

    I have a pair of 1C's coming, I'm going to experiment a little,,as in the AI-1 Dreadnaught and a pair of high current big a$$ed mono's,,I'll post the preference/difference between a tubed stereo and the mono's.I've had a few pairs and I think that the dreadnaught may be the key here,, we'll see.

    I've sold off all my polks except for a pair of 1.2's, non-tl's. I doubt they will ever go away. They are not over rated at all. :)
    Vinyl, the final frontier...

    Avantgarde horns, 300b tubes, thats the kinda crap I want... :D

    George, I recently ran my 1C's in the Shed for a few weeks with the BAT tube mono's, truly awesome, no dreadnaught, just my self made AI-1 but it does quite well, anyway bass was awesome and the room was filled with sound, great speaker.

    Georges 1c's sounded flat out amazing with his anthem tuber. Let me know when you get the monos hooked up GD. It'll be worth the trip back to GA.

    Are you still interested in purchasing a pair of 1.2 TL's? I have a pair that I am thinking about selling once I acquire a pair of 2.3 TL's. I'll keep you posted. I am located in St. Louis MO.
