Well I haven't came to a conclusion just yet if I like SACD more than regular Cd's or not.
Still experimenting.

On my setup a regular Cd only play 2 channel for some reason so I won't be using it for those.
My JVC will still be my prime for those and burned MP3's.

Before I draw my final opinion I hafta score a Classical and a New Age/World Cd.

I do know at this point I won't spend a wad on any one SACD.

So far only SACD's I have is Pink Floyd DSOTM and Police Every Breath You Take.

Next 2 titles I have in mind are.....

For New Age /World....Mike Oldfield Tubular Bells or Dead can Dance Into The Labyrinth.
For Classical.....Holst The Planets SLSO Susskind Cond seems to have high ratings.

You Guys have any others for consideration?

Ok I ordered Holst The Planets MFSL SACD from Barnes and Noble.
Got the last one they had anywhere....I'm a member so it'll be $22.49.
Looks to be very highly rated!

Here is the write up on it.

Are you trying to compare multi-channel SACD to 2 channel redbook? If so, why? Every SACD has a hi-rez 2 channel layer, the way music is suppose to be played back.

So far from what I hear of mine.....
Seems more "natural" sounding rather than dolled up with Dolby surround processing.
From what I understand it's direct sound of the original recording.
If it's not properly separated in the original recording....it'll sound like crap.
So SACD's dubbed from properly done originals sound great and ones done from a halfassed original sound like garbage.

This is what I gather.....correct me someone if I'm wrong?
