It would have been a great Christmas present for myself. But I'm too cheap....
didn't win it.

I think all the Pink Floyd and Led Zep albums are due for remastering and re-release on vinyl. So I'm waiting for that. I've been lucky so far on finding Led Zep albums at Goodwill/Salvation Army. All but my Led Zep I have cleaned up and played without much noise. I'm going to have to reclean and steam my LZ I album to see if I can't eliminate the noise.DKG999

Damn...that would have been a good one to get there. I love Floyd...I'd have to say there probably my favorite band...probably. Animals is probably my second favorite of their albums...second only to DSOTM. I need to get some of their stuff on vinyl. The nirvana inducer-

I have the DSOTM hybrid SACD, but unfortunately no SACD player. Even on a regular CD player though, the sound quality is phenomenal, beause it's all been completely remastered. Sounds great in surround sound. I just cant wait to get an SACD player to hear it playing at it's full potential.
On another note...I think I'm gonna go pop in DSOTM now. Haven't listened to it in a few days...I'm having withdrawals...lolThe nirvana inducer-

Lot's of talk about remastered vinyl being drawn into the loudness wars. Beware of the rock remasters on vinyl, some of it has been clipped and it's hotter than the original vinyl.Carl

That's one of my favorite Floyd tunes...I'd have to say my favorite off of DSOTM is Any Colour You Like though...it's a pretty short track, but it's an incredible one.
I ended up not popping it in last night...I just got done listening to it though actually. The nirvana inducer-

You got that right! Some mastering engineers should be hung up by the short hairs over a red hot bed of coals :cool:DKG999

Don't forget the SACD of "Wish You Were Here"....which has been confirmed by David Gilmour and Nick Mason to be in the pipelines.
