LS90 and CS350 tweeter replacement

Hello, newbie here. I have had LS90 and CS350 setup since 95 and they have served me well. Recently though I am getting some crackling from one LS90 and the CS350. Not all the time but enought to notice. It sounds like the tweeters not a driver. I have looked into replacing the tweeters and have ordered them from Polk. SL6000 for the 90 and SL6508 as the replacement for the SL6501 in the CS.
Is this as simple as just unscrew the faceplate and plug in the new tweeter and screw it back in?
Only one LS90 appears to be bad from the sound, should I replace the other LS90 tweeter at the same time? Will the sound out of the 13 year older one be markedly different?
