Hey Everyone, I am currently in the process of putting together my HT and so far I have a pair of Monitor 40s and a CS2 center. I also have an Onkyo 606 reciever. I'm thinking about getting the monitor 70s for my fronts and I want to know if my Onkyo will give them enough power (biamped) to take advantage of them? Or should I just go with smaller 60s or 50s?

I have pretty much the same setup you are describing, except I have the Onkyo 806. I would imagine the 606 would work, but I don't think it would give you the best from the 70's. Also another bad thing about the 606 is it has no pre-outs for adding an external amp which would wake those 70's up bigtime. I would recommend upgrading to the 706 atleast for around $500 shipped if you can afford the upgrade. I know you can "Bi-Amp" with the rear surrounds if you only have a 5.1 setup since the 606 is 7.1, but you may not gain much since this is not "true Bi-Amping" I would recommend the 806 though. Oh and welcome to Club Polk.

Sweet thanks for the help, I'll see if I can still send back my 606 and upgrade to the 706. Any suggestions for a good amp?
