Center Channel Wiring

I've just gotten a Sony STR DG820, and will be hooking up a Polk RM8C for the center, Polk RM8's for the front surrounds, and Polk RM7's for the rear surrounds. I'll be using 14 guage wires for the front and rear surrounds, since my longest run is nearly 50 feet. However, I'm wondering about the wiring for the center channel speaker. I've been investigating various speaker wires, and have found several sites selling wires specifically for the center channel speaker. Is this really necessary? Also, does anyone have any recommendations for a reasonably priced brand of wire? Thanks for your assistance.

    Welcome to the club.

For cheap connections I like either SignalCables or BlueJean Cables.

Necessary maybe not but I feel the center needs a good speaker wire, just to much use in HT mode.
