What remote?

Hello everyone. It's been a long time since I have had time to log on.
Alot has happened. One thing that has happened, I might have posted that my dog rocky died of liver cancer. Well, we found a nice female bullmastiff pup. Baily is now 11 months but has started her chewing stage. Last night she chewed up my harmony 880 (bi*ch!) Now I am looking for something new and thought who better to get info from then the polkies.
So, any info would be a big help.

P.S. we still love the pup inspite of the chewing.

    There is a thead on the 880 vs the "One" remote here. IT is a good read.

    Ya, I just saw that after I posted. I'm going to take a look at it. I see people like it using a dvr so it may be just the ticket.

    I am a loyal harmony user; got the 659 for a few years, and now I'm a happy camper with the one. great remote.

    I'm kind of confused about the hi-end Harmonys, maybe you guys can help me. I love my 520 and bought another on eBay last week for $29 shipped. Thanks to the awesome powers of internet and USB, all the old foibles of cheap universal remotes are gone, and it can control everything I program it to with ease.

    So what do you gain when you move up the line if the basic one can control everything? Better ergonomics? Bigger buttons? I haven't read the other thread and will now, but I'm just wondering.
