Velodyne Impact-10 vs. Polk PSW125

I can get these two subs for around the same price. I was curious if anyone had any opinions on these two?

My other speakers are decent at this time, but nothing special. Receiver is a Marantz 5002.The space is fairly large with an open room next to it, but my budget dictates one of these two (and I can get a good deal on either one). So I guess room filling power and a good sound are both things I am looking for.

So, is the Impact-10 as powerful (or more power) as the PSW125 even though it only has a 10in driver vs. the 12 in the polk? Overall opinions of the two?

In the future I am looking at potentially getting RTIA1's for my fronts. Just for reference ;)

Thanks in advance for any help!

I have a PWS125 and it works very well for me in my setup. I'm sure you will get more nods for the Velo, since they tend to make better subs than Polk, but I am not familiar with the Impact-10, like I said though I love my PSW125 and it works very well for my application.

    Thanks for the feedback.

I am really curious if the power from the Impact-10 compares with the 12" driver in the PSW125 as I have a fairly large space. Problem is it seems like reviews/feedback on the Impact-10 are limited on the net as it is fairly new...

Unfortunately I'm not impressed with Polk subs at all!
Had 2 diff ones over the years and not impressive enough to give ya a audio wood.
They make great speakers but they never really mastered subs. IMHO

Now Velodyne on the other hand....had 2 diff ones and VERY pleased with em both!

    LOVE my DPS-10!!
Don't underestimate the driver size....it's in the amp and configuration.
