Looking for a Laptop for Christmas?

Well, my wife has been asking for a laptop for awhile now and I just could not bring myself to purchase one for the $600-$800 asking price like most of the ones commonly found at Best Buy or Circuit City.
There was an ad for a Toshiba at Best Buy today that seemed like a good deal. $399 and it has everything I was looking for in a machine to be mainly used to surf the web while being carried around the house....
Just thought I would pass it along in case anyone else missed out on the black friday laptop deals.
Michael
BTW - When I went to Best Buy to purchase it, they said all they had left were the "preconfigured" laptops for an additional $40. (I asked what preconfigured means and they said all the software was updated on the machine for me)
I told them for $40 I could run windows update myself and they could keep their laptop. He quickly said he does not HAVE to charge me the extra $40 and rang up the laptop at the $399 advertised price. Just throwing that out there in case they decide to drum up some extra charges in your area making the laptop not as good a deal.

Best Buy is VERY willing to negotiate their pricing. Most times you can get items at Employee Discount prices if you just simply ask.
I got a Nikon D90 kit for $1175 (usually $1350), and now I just have the people that hooked me up verify what they can do based on what I could find the items for online. I might have paid about $50-100 more than I could have gotten it online for, but I also purchased the warranty and got to finance it for 18 months (could have paid now, but zero percent financing doesn't bother me to do).comment comment comment comment. bitchy.
