My brethren...

(and Sistren) !

For the first time in many moons, I have spent the day listening to music and rolling some tubes.
Getting my learn on, from the different places that I have been directed to go to....

I have of course begun the "want" cycle of the upgrade/change-up part of my disease...

I have learned much about the tube flavor that I use (thanks Jess), and still can`t get past the fact that I really want Doro`s speaks (thanks Mark)..

Thinking of ways to make it happen, things that I can sell to acheive it.....
Trying not to obsess about it....like I usually do !!

I do however appreciate what I have , and must say....for the first time in a long time, I am happily listening to a fairly descent system today....all day

At the moment / In the moment....Life is Good !!

TUBES RULE !!

Thats the one bad thing about being into competitive car audio - I forget to just listen for enjoyment's sake. Most of the time Im listening for flaws like "dammit, the left stage is too far inside the A pillars" or "dammit, the center image is smeared to the right." I suppose its always a good thing to sit back and just enjoy our toys.

    It`s hard to do sometimes...
especially when your rollin tubes, because you tend to have a critical ear...

I just decided to sit back and not analyze....just listen and enjoy !!

Man that sounds like a great day...I haven't had that opportunity in a while. Thinks should slow down at work soon though I'll be able to listen and enjoy too.

Tell me, how do you select your music? Does it go with the "mood" or just "random"? Or do you look at a list or flip through the cd collection and choose one?

    it`s kinda mood specific...

I started with the radio om the MD-102...sounds almost like CD quality....almost !
    I`m still fine tuning

Then went to light rock, rock, zep, ect.

then went to the Dead and back to acoustical, and into smooth Jazz

with radio breaks in between of course

I have kinda run the full circle today !!!

Doing some Norah Jones at the moment

There's nothing like having a day off, and spending it relaxing listening to some good tunes. That's pretty much what I've been doing all day. Started off early with some Beatles, moved onto some Clapton later in the morning, my afternoon was devoted mainly to Bob Dylan. Then I left for a while...now I'm back home and my night's been devoted mainly to the Grateful Dead...along with some Tool earlier to mix things up. It's been an enjoyable day.
