need your take, have lotta good things about the SR midrange being smooth but the utopia line has a reputation of its own.

    Not to mention a price tag twice that of the SR's.

    Focals do sound great, no doubt about it and have excellent midbass but I always thought their higher end was too harsh. I prefer the more natural sound of the Polks and the smoother highs.

    Is it me or has Focal dropped off the map lately? When I first got into MECA back in 2006, Focal was the shiznit. Everybody was running them. This year at finals I dont think I heard or saw a single car running them. Maybe I missed them but it seems theyre a lot more scarce than before.

    Not to totally hijack, but that is an AWESOME signature, there, Mac! Congrats on all those titles! Like you alluded to in the thread in the clubhouse...quit critiquing your system so much and be happy with it every now and then!
