Are the SR5250 and 6500 crossovers the same?

Are the SR5250 and SR6500 crossovers and tweeters the same, can I use the 5250 crossover and tweeter with the 6501 woofer?

No theyre not the same. The 5250 crossover point is 4100 Hz where the 6500 crossover is 3100.
However, you can use the 5250 crossover with the 6500 if you want to. That may actually work better. Ive found the SR's work better with the mid playing very high when the tweeters are mounted away from the mids. I have my 6500's cut off at 5 KHz.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

I was just reading your post about tuning the SR's and you mention the best cross point being 4k for the 6500's there as well. Is it only a good crossover point if the speakers are placed with the woofers low and the tweeters high or just better when their placed like this?
Mine are placed close together for now but I'm going to move the tweeter up further to get them more on axis so I think I will definitely try using the 5250 crossover with the 6501 woofer.

4 KHz is a very good crossover point for the SR6500s and I recommend starting there especially if youre tweeters are mounted up high. I have mine at 5 KHz but it took some tuning to get them to work that high up. They seem to just fall into place at 4 K though.

When you have one speaker 90 degrees off axis and the other one almost dead on axis, some frequencies especially the higher ones will have more intensity from the one on axis and can skew the imaging.polkaudio sound quality competitor since 2005

If I had them both at the same angle to me, they would be much more even. I have switched to 4k for a crossover point. I decided to start from scratch and retune everything. Detail, imaging and balance improved but it seemed like I was missing something and once I moved from a crossover point of 3.25 up to 4k it made all the difference.
I have my mid and tweeter right next to each other.HU: 880PRS
