It was the Brand New Future shop in Edmonton, South common. It was a door crasher, My bro just left to pick up another set. They still had some, The sales person kept saying it's a Ridiculous deal. They had a $50 off coupon in store that came off it.
2x $350 each = $700, Then $50 off.
Here's the recipe

Great deal at that price

I can tell you they will perform better with more wpc(read customer feedback for this product on Polk) (friend has next level down and putting more power to them really woke them up) than your Pioneer, 225wpc would be a good start but over 300wpc would be better. Can't tell for sure but it looks like your Pioneer does not have Pre-outs.Speakers: SDA-1C (most all the goodies)

The old RTi and current RTiA models love high current power. I ran the setup in my sig. minus the B&K for a couple of years and it sounded good. When I added the B&K it made a huge difference for my RTi-10s. Being a B&K fan boy I suggest checking audiogon.com for used B&K gear. 200W would be nice but even their 125W amps have decent current. Now that I have my amp I wish I had sprung for the RTi-12s in the first place.AVR: Elite VSX-21TXH
Amplifier: B&K 7250 Series ii
Misc: Velodyne SMS-1
Mains: RTi-10

An emotiva 2 channel amp would be good or a 5 channel bi-amp the towers and use the other channel for the center.

thx, I still can't wipe my smile off my face.:D
What's a good speaker cable for these? I got some 12 gauge, or is 16 gauge better? -
I second the B&K amp recommendation. There is no better match for RTIA speakers IMO. Audiogon is your friend.
12 gauge speaker wire will serve you best for those beasts. Generally, the lower the gauge, the thicker the wire, the less resistance. Which is better.
Congrats on a great deal. Don't think you saved money though Now you need some good ol high current.Front - RtiA5's
Surround - RtiA1's
Center - CsiA6
Sub - Velodyne DPS12

Hi guys Im new to this forum and still fairly new to home theater. I have a YAMAHA 6190(rxv1800 and was wondering the same thing. is this not enough for the rtia9's. I can get these new for $1000 canadian dollars but i have to let the guy know by tomorrow. I posted on another forum and asked there but any advice would be great. Thanks.
also what line from Paradigm matches up to the RTIA line. that was the other ones I was considering with the monitor 9's for $100 cheaper.
my dad has had older polk speakers and Im currently using polk monitor series and so far theyre pretty good.
what would be best for the yamaha. sorry to mention the paradigms i know this is a polk forum.
thanks -

Not to their fullest potential. A lot will depend on what other speakers are being driven as well as how big of a room you are using. It will drive them, and sound pretty good, but you would probably be delighted with addition of some more power later on. You have pre outs so that wouldn't be any problem. As far as the paradigms, which used to be great speakers as well, but all shops around me keep the price up enough I don't really look at them anymore, so I am not familiar with any of their newer products.
