Need help with purchasing decision

I'm not sure why I did it exactly, but on a spur of the moment decision I decided I wanted to try a new amp in my system. So yesterday I sold my Belles 150A Reference amplifier, and so now I'm faced with a decision about what to buy.
My system is a combined 2-channel/HT system, but for all intents and purposes my focus is on 2-channel only.
I have about $1500 to spend here, and I'm undecided if I want to spend it all on a new amp or if I should spend less on the amp and split my purchase between the amp and a new CD player.
Option 1: Pass Labs X150 amp - $1550 used.
Option 2: Less expensive amp ($900ish) plus a Jolida JD-100 ($600ish)
Or if anyone has any other suggestion, I'm all ears.

Hello,
I would go for the 900ish amp a CD player with balanced output.
Use your Adcom 750 balanced input, that would be a big bang for the buck.:)Linn AV5140 fronts

Thanks, yeah, that was one of the thoughts I had too. Do you know of a good $900 amp that is fully balanced? The Pass X150 is -- and if I go that route I'll go balanced between my Pre and the Amp and then add a CD player later as money allows.
But if I can get a good balanced $900 amp without sacrificing too much in terms of sound quality, then I could get the best of both worlds now.Speakers: Polk LSi15
