I have been reading some very interesting articles about giving up the whole 5.1 and 7.1 and going 2.0.

exactly Mike. not something I would ever do.

I use two R30's on the kids rig, just to have something better than the crappy speaks that are integrated in the LCD.
I don't think I'd ever give up on a 5.1 to go to a 2.0 system. -
not for me. but in case anyone interested, here is an option:I am sorry, I have no opinion on the matter. I am sure you do. So, don't mind me, I just want to talk audio and pie.
