Monitor issues

Hi All,
I have a couple of fantastic Polk speakers hooked up to an old Onkyo receiver (TX-SR304), a DLO HomeDock Deluxe and a Samsung monitor.
My issue is that I want to listen to my dock through the amp/speakers (not a problem) but view my ipod on my monitor. That dock has composite out (yellow, red, white) and s-video, but my monitor only has DVI and VGA. Is there any way (either with or without the receiver) of being able to view the video out of the dock on my monitor?
I thought it would be as easy as buying a converter cable, but it turns out I may be wrong...
Thanks!

I believe you are going to need either an S-video or composite connection to either a DVI or VGA plug for the monitor. I'd check Monoprice.com to see if such cable exists? Are you sure you don't have any other inputs on that Samsung monitor?
BTW, which fantastic Polk speakers to you have?:) -
Yes, that cable would be ideal, however I don't believe it exists.
My monitor only has DVI and VGA unfortunately.
Any ideas?
A pair of cherry R50's - I love them as they're my first component speakers and I have them in a relatively small room. Am busy fixing up a record player to go with my setup, but I was 'handed down' an ancient Fisher model, which is more or less nonexistent on the internet! -
You might be SOL unless you get a compatible receiver capable of doing such.

My budget is minuscule, but can you give me any recommendations of entry-level receivers which might work?
