They all look alike to me."The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it."

After hearing that the state of Florida changed its opinion and
let a Muslim woman have her picture on her driver's license with her face covered this is an editorial written by an American citizen, published in a Tampa newspaper.
IMMIGRANTS, NOT AMERICANS, MUST ADAPT. I am tired of this nation worrying about whether we are offending some individual or their culture.
Since the terrorist attacks on Sept. 11, we have experienced a surge in patriotism by the majority of Americans. However, the dust from the attacks had barely settled when the "politically correct" crowd began complaining about the possibility that our patriotism was offending others.
I am not against immigration, nor do I hold a grudge against
anyone who is seeking a better life by coming to America. Our population is almost entirely made up of descendants of immigrants. However, there are a few things that those who have recently come to our country, and apparently some born here, need to understand. This idea of America being a multicultural community has served only to dilute our sovereignty and our national identity. As Americans, we have our own culture, our own society, our own language and our own lifestyle. This culture has been developed over centuries of struggles, trials, and victories by millions of men and women who have sought freedom.
We speak ENGLISH, not Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic, Chinese,
Japanese, Russian, or any other language. Therefore, if you wish to become part of our society, learn the language!
"In God We Trust" is our national motto. This is not some
Christian, right wing, political slogan. We adopted this motto because Christian men and women, on Christian principles, founded this nation, and this is clearly documented. It is certainly appropriate to display it on the walls of our schools. If God offends you, then I suggest you consider another part of the world as your new home, because God is part of our culture.
If Stars and Stripes offend you, or you don't like Uncle Sam,
then you should seriously consider a move to another part of this
planet. We are happy with our culture and have no desire to change, and we really don't care how you did things where you came from. This is OUR COUNTRY, our land, and our lifestyle. Our First Amendment gives every citizen the right to express his opinion and we will allow you every opportunity to do so.
But once you are done complaining, whining, and griping about our flag, our pledge, our national motto, or our way of life, I highly encourage you take advantage of one other great American freedom, THE RIGHT TO LEAVE.Political Correctness'.........defined

F1nut,
Great post!! -
I'm just glad that the media doesn't dictate the separation of church and state!
On the other hand English is our language and should be dealt with accordingly. No bi-lingual citizenship tests. And if you want the privilage of driving a vehicle that requires identification, then identify.Make it Funky! -
I wonder how many situations where a valid photo ID is called for will result in her license being rejected or accepted? Can she get on a plane? Write a check at a place that demands photo ID of everyone? By the way, when did this occur?Testing

Just one question.
When we (as Americans in general) go to another country, do we have to form and adapt to their laws? YES we do! So why is this such a big deal? Sometimes this country has a screwed up way of doing things.
Qwick story. I have a co-worker that went to Saudi and worked in a hospital their for 18 months. (She's a woman) She had to strictly obey all "laws/religious beliefs" that women must go by. Basically covering your hair in public etc... But she was also continuously harrassed sexually by the Saudi men, because they believe that all American women are whores and will sleep with anyone.
So back to my original question. If American women have to obey Islamic laws, then why can't Islamic women obey American laws? Sounds two faced to me. -
What the hell is the point of a photo I.D. if you can't see teh face of the person in the photo on the I.D.?
That right there is an extremely high security risk.
Oh yeah, separation of church and state doesn't only work one way. If the state can't dictate religious laws then religion has no place bending or even breaking state laws. The veil comes off for the picture, Muslim, Christian or what have you. NO EXCEPTIONS.Expert Moron Extraordinaire
You're just jealous 'cause the voices don't talk to you! -
The only reason Muslim women wear masks is because Muslim men cannot control themselves. They see any women that arent covered up they treat them like whores because of their own insecurities. There is no temptation in what cannot be seen. If you ask me their religion is made of mindless clones. This book says, so it must be true."The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it."

For the most part, they're animals. The men who live in prohibitive countries (no drinking, no sex) actually charter airplanes and go driving around in international airspace, boozing it up and pinching the stews asses and ****. Or, they just go on three or four day trips to some of the more relaxed countries (U.A.E) where drinking IS permitted, and they **** around drunk the whole time. Hop back in the jet, rattle off a couple of Hail Mary equivalents on the way home, and they're good to go until the next **** trip. Friggin' pigs.

George, george, george.....
I've worked in Saudi Arabia. Its not like that. Really.
Yes, they drive over the bridge to Bahrain to party with the Russian working women who are there to earn a buck "Mustang Ranch Style". Big deal.
Actually, Saudi's view their entire country as "Holy Land" and therefore, drinking and sex are prohibited. They treat their entire country like a church. Its just their way.
Now, they are a bit miffed about us flying F16's over their church. While it makes good political sense to be on the USA's side (and, for the most part, they are), it is hard to dismiss having foreign soldgiers based on Saudi soil. You just can't explain that to the religous zealots (like you can explain anything to any religious zealot).
For the last 50 years or so, Saudi and the USA have held a very close alliance. We make better friends than enemy's with Saudi.
Thats the facts Jack. Saudi's can do anything sin-wise they want anywhere in the world - except in their home country. I've seen quite a few businessmen in Amsterdam lay down a Penthouse/Playboy before boarding their plane departing for Saudi Arabia. Likewise, I've seen women Arabs change from tight/revealing western dress to traditional black sheets with veil before getting on the plane. They didn't seem to resent the restrictions. It seemed more-or-less like how they show respect to their own country. -

If they're capable of showing respect like that, then respect OUR country as well. There's nothing respectful about saying that they can do anything outside of their country as long as when in theirs they're totally different. Respect isn't an act..........comment comment comment comment. bitchy. -
What I can't figure out is why we are so involved in international issues when there are so many opportunities domestically to improve the lives of our own fellow Americans.
I am 100% against violence - both domestic and international.
I am also pro-union and pro-buy-american. It seems to me that the need for the USA to import goods internationally from very cheap labor sources (china, malaysia, etc) is the cause for much of our international involvement. If the USA put half as much effort into developing electric vehicles as we do in importing Middle East Oil and supplying military weapons to THAT region... we would have the problem solved and we could be happy and not be pissing off the rest of the world (via non-involvement). Now, if we want to simply conquer and rule the world... well, I guess I'm all for the benefits of that also - we should just be honest about our intentions. -
just goes to show that big business runs this country.

You two are the most clueless morons I've ever run across and Ron, re-read your comments on how the Saudi's behave. It's pure HYPOCRISY!!! :rolleyes:Political Correctness'.........defined

F1Nut,
Just because you don't understand and agree doesn't make their way wrong. Of course, terrorism is wrong. But, are you so narrow minded that you can't appreciate any other culture besides your own? There are some real advantages to other cultures. The divorce rate in China is less than 1%. Crime in Saudi Arabia is virtually non-existant. Of course, to appreciate another culture, you would have to start thinking for yourself rather than just following the crowd. -
Ron,
I appreciate all cultures, hell I live in the most diverse cultural area in the country. I've traveled overseas extentsively, lived abroad for a year and have friends from all walks of life. I think what you don't understand is how hypocritical the Muslim behavior is. Ask most any American woman what her thoughts are concerning Muslim men, they'll tell you that they are pigs. There is one thing you should know about me, I don't follow any crowd, never did, never will. I always think outside the box, that's why I have my own business. Since you brought up China, I'll bring up India. They have arranged marriages and a divorce rate of less than 1%. One of my best friends is Hindu and that's how he got married. He liked it so much here that I sponsored him so he could become a US citizen.
Checkmate! Would you like to play again?

goingganza,
The funniest/saddest thing I ever saw was a group of Muslim women swimming in the Persion Gulf (Half Moon Beach). They were all dressed in black garbs w/veils out in the salty ocean. They looked like a group of Wet Black Caspers (ghosts). Persion Gulf is unusually salty. I can only imagine what it was like to wear those salty robes after they had sunbaked in the 140+ degree F heat of the desert sun.
