I wouldn't suggest using a pro audio amp with the LSi line, or in the home in general unless it's for a sub.

You can use PA amps to drive home gear, a few considerations though:
1) Fan noise- Some PA amps have noisy fans and transformers which will be unacceptable in a quiet home environment.
2) Inputs made for "+4" dB - they're usually balanced and sometimes do not mate up too well to consumer gear. Some PA gear I've used hummed and buzzed being fed an unbalanced signal from a consumer piece. Others did just fine.
3) Gain controls sometimes are imprecise, at least for audiophile standards. You can turn them all the way up or try to voltage match them with a 'scope or specialized volt meter.-Eric

the fr' m s are meant to have very poor build standards. i could have the wrong model but i spoke to someone at "dolphin music" they said lots of the new Mackie gear comes back dead. Apparently they’re churning them out so quick things are not been done properly.
I think Mackie stopped making them for a couple of months and reviewed what was going wrong. Looks like their address to their unreliability it this new 5year warranty??
And its not 4v its 1.4v usually but it varies. I would say this is irrelevant as I monitored the output of my cd player to find its well above 1v. the max was 2v.ELECTRONICS
