Oh, I've seen those classic Adidas sneakers before.

And I used to have a pair of those Converse at some point. Can't say as I want another pair, though.

If you want a kick **** boot, comfortable and fail proof I recommend the USMC bates steel toe. Built to USMC specs, its Bates so its definitely comfortable and made to take a beating. I love them, got tired of my Timberlands falling apart also.

I don't do cowboy boots, but I've been wearing Georgia work boots for around 20 years.

Their Comfort-Core insoles have spoiled me from any other brand. The heel of the boots are hollow and the insole is molded thicker (about 1.5") to fill the void. They have cowboy boots with Comfort Core.

    And they have traction soles.

My favorite "old school Adidas" tennis shoes were the Superstars....great shoe back in the day.

Never much cared for Chucks after HS in the 60s...but I wore "real" Converse Basketball shoes for years. I still have a couple of pairs of Converse that I still wear. I like the way they fit me. Never Nikes...never Reeboks, etc.. always Converse or Adidas.

Hmm. I've heard recommendations for those before. I like a few of those black boots, but I'd prefer them to be brown. Not sure I'd want a 6-inch tall boot, though.

I can definitely see that having a regular boot AND cowboy boot would be the best of both worlds. Boy, this Christmas list just keeps getting longer! :D

I have owned Ariats and they are very nice boots. My wife has a pair of red ones for special occasions!

My main problem with cowboy boots are how they fit my lower leg. Or the fact that they don't. I have to get the shorter versions for my legs or they slam into my calves. Sucks to be italian sometimes.

I just cant imagine anything handstitched to be equivalent to comfort. Leather, leather and more leather = discomfort.

    Grrr, wish we could edit...

Here's a pic of the Georgia insole. I swear to you they are more comfortable than any sneaker I've ever owned.

Though they arent cowboy boots, I just scored a new pair of Bates USMC boots with the EGA (Eagle, Globe, and Anchor) etched into the side. These should work well in the field while I'm out there on those Deere and JLG machines. Not bad for 70 bucks.

If they're good enough for the USMC, then they're good enough for me..............OOOHRAH!

Very cool! I have yet to go look at boots, but there are two Bates dealers at home, so I'll check them out before I head back to school.

I think I'll wait on getting cowboy boots for a while, I guess.

My wonderful wife got me these cowboy boots for Christmas! They are very comfortable with a rubber sole, so traction isn't an issue. Apparently Sheplers had a pretty good deal going around Christmas, so she picked them up for me. I never wanted to shell out the cash for them, so this was a great gift. These are the only shoes that I have worn the past week now.

I'll have to post up some pictures of some Converse that my wife "makes."

Edit, those boots are style NB4047 on the Nocona website. Click here to see them.
I know just enough to be dangerous, but don't tell my wife, she thinks I'm a genius. :D

    Pioneer VSX-816

Blue Jeans Cable - speaker cable
Daewoo 27 incher - one step up from a console
    Sony Progressive scan DVD
    XBOX

    SOPA since 2008
    Here's my stuff.
